WED.2017.BannerThe Brahma Kumaris Agriculture and Rural Development Wing are actively celebrating the World Environment Day, 5th June 2017.  Details can be seen here. The aim of the prgrammes is to raise environmental awareness and the conservation of natural resources.

Theme of the Program is: I am with Nature.  They expect to run 300 to 500 programmes across India.  The programmes include:

Programs at BK Centers, Schools, Colleges, Government offices and public programs,

Plantation Programs,

Peace March, forming Human Chains,

Cleanliness programs,

Mass Meditation for Environment etc.,

The programmes will Involve: Officials from various departments including Local Government officials serving Forestry, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Irrigation, Animal Husbandry, Panchayatraj, Welfare, Environment etc., NGO's: Associations, Clubs, Self Help Groups, Corporates etc.,

SolarCooking1The Brahma Kumaris in Mauritius celebrated the World Environment day by attending the  Regional Fair organized by Ministry of Environment where they introduced solar cooking, yogic farming and a Greening Tree for people top place their goood wishes.  They also attended the two day Exhibition on Ecologie Interieure where they shared a number of ideas relating spirituality to the environment.

TreePlantingWorld Environment Day was celebrated by Brahma Kumaris with enthusiasm by holding cleanliness drives, tree plantation programs, informative talks on our responsibility towards environment, educated the importance of Organic Yogic Farming, competitions for children etc., encouraging different communities to adopt Sustainable Practices and bring awareness on Environmental protection.

Intl.Environment Day jun2014 SaoPaulo BrazilOn June 8th 2014, Brahma Kumaris centre in Sao Paulo, Brazil, received Marta Maria do Amaral Azevedo to talk on the topic “The land and its children”. She and Sister Luciana Ferraz, national coordinator for BK in Brazil, composed a panel in honor to the International Environment Day.
