The Tree – Wood Element

From a seed to a sapling, to a fully-grown tree, a tree knows its own unique destiny…
It understands the direction it must follow to send roots deep into the earth for its nutrition and stability…
Likewise, the tree knows it must extent itself outwards and upwards to the sky to serve in the balance of nature, breathing in oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide. It has both a plan and a method…
A tree has the virtues of gentleness and peace, flexibility and a quiet persistence to fully manifest itself, bending in the wind, growing through or around obstacles…
Do I have these same qualities to see, plan and create a method to fulfill my own highest destiny?

We should take from the Earth only what are our absolute and basic necessities: things without which we cannot survive.
